Dr. Kristy Ainslie Strengthens Drug Delivery Focus as She Becomes Advisor to Peptineo

Albuquerque, NM, April 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Peptineo is pleased to welcome Dr. Ainslie to advisory board at Peptineo. Dr. Ainslie received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Penn State, and after a short post doc in a start up company focused on biosensor development, Protiveris, she completed a post doc at UCSF. During her post doc, she focused on microfabricated oral drug delivery devices and immune responses to nanobiomaterials. In 2009 she began a tenure-track position at Ohio State University in the College of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmaceutics. There she has been awarded over $5 million in grant funding to develop dextran based vaccine and drug delivery carriers. In June of 2014 she will join the Molecular Pharmaceutics Division at UNC, Chapel Hill as an Associate Professor, where she will continue her work developing novel dextran based formulations.
