Mission Benefit at Inverness Hall

On April 5th from 4:30 PM to 9 PM there will be a community event at Inverness Hall in Highlandtown, Ohio featuring music by "The Smokey Waters Band" and a silent auction to raise money for missions.

Lisbon, OH, March 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Bud and Jennifer Powell, inspired by their daughter Mariah’s mission trip to Belize, are combining with Bethel Presbyterian Church and Inverness Hall to provide a Mission Benefit Concert and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 5. The silent auction will begin at 4:30 PM and bidding will conclude at 5:45 PM. The music will run from 5 PM to 9 PM and will be performed by six world class country musicians who call themselves “The Smokey Water Band.” Buddy Powell is a singer/songwriter from Lisbon who has worked with George Jones and Tammy Wynette. Johnny Cusick is a guitarist from Lisbon who has worked with Barbara Mandrell, Lee Greenwood and Susan Rae. Lyle Marcum is a guitarist and studio musician from Akron who has worked with George Jones, Alabama, and George Straight. Vince Harrison is a bass and fiddle player from Akron who has worked with Roy Rogers & Dale Evans on the radio circuit and has his own show in Branson, Missouri. Donnie Sanners is a drummer from Akron who has played with some of the biggest shows in Las Vegas, North Hollywood and Los Angeles. Leonard Arthur is a pianist from East Liverpool who started out with his family in gospel and has worked with Alabama, Willy Nelson, The Oakridge Boys and studios in Nashville. He also teaches at our very own DC Music in Calcutta. There will be food for sale, a 50/50 raffle, a cakewalk, and some words from Mariah Powell about her missions trip during the event. All money raised will be used for youth missions, local missions and overseas missionaries connected to our community.
