On April 8th 2014 Microsoft will no longer offer security updates for the Windows XP platform. While the program will still operate, security patches will not be provided by Microsoft and will leave users computers open to viruses and malware attacks. According to Net Applications, the leaders in tracking operating statistics, over 27% of internet connected computers still run Windows XP.
