Fort Washington, MD, October 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Appearing on October 20, author Anita Hackley-Lambert discusses her historical and critically approved biography, F.H.M. Murray: First Biography of a Forgotten Pioneer for Civil Justice at the 2007 Book ‘Em event. Following the discussion she will sell and autograph copies of her book. The event is held at the Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Virginia, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The event features authors from around the country.

Award winning author and historian, Charles Patterson describes the biography on “F.H.M. Murray” as . . .

“a fascinating and compelling book. Based on years of research and family interviews, this biography of Freeman Henry Morris Murray (1859-1950) uncovers deeply buried family mysteries and sheds new light on various aspects of black history, such the Underground Railroad before and after the Civil War, the Niagara Movement, Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Du Bois, and African-American life in Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, Virginia. An impressive and important labor of love.”

A native of Prince George’s County, Hackley-Lambert founded her first business when she was eleven. Since then she is the former President/CEO of a fifteen years old information technology and engineering services firm and currently is the founder of Hackley-Lambert Enterprises, Inc., an emerging portfolio of businesses, including HLE Publishing, HLE Editorial Services, From the Heart Talk Radio, and Women Writers United, a writing group she developed as a means to support women writers and give back to her community.

Hackley-Lambert has envisioned a career in writing ever since the age of twelve, when she wrote her first unpublished book, No Where to Run, a compelling story of sexual abuse that began at age five. She was inspired to write the life story of F.H.M. Murray, because of a promise she made to her mother to bring Murray’s legacy to the forefront. With publication of this book, Anita hopes to spark the interest of historians, educators, scholars, American history collectors, genealogists, and students about this outstanding historical figure. Her greatest desire is that each reader will come to know the essence of the man, F.H.M. Murray and his numerous contributions to American history.

The Book ‘Em Foundation sponsors this ground-breaking Book Fair highlighting the connection between illiteracy and high crime rates. The fair highlights dozens of authors who will be signing their books and speaking on writing, the publishing industry, and other topics of interest throughout the day.
