Users Can Now Create a Personal Backup for Their Data with the Help of Export Data Feature in ProofHub

In its latest updates, ProofHub announced the ability for users to export data from their account.

Clifton, NJ, April 14, 2014 --( In its recent launch ProofHub, a leading web based project management and collaboration software announced the ability for its existing users to export all their data directly into their desktop. This move is a boon for those who are contemplating a switchover to ProofHub, but due to the lack of the ability to create a personal backup, have yet made a move. And, equally beneficial for those who are using ProofHub, rely on it completely, yet want a backup saved in their own device for anytime reference.

This would allow users to access their ProofHub data when they want it, where they want it - whether it is to create a copy of their own or to share it with someone else. While current users can try this anytime, this would highly comfort those who sign up with ProofHub as a better alternative than other tools who do not provide this ability. It would lead to a smoother transition in both the cases.

By enabling this feature, you can quickly and easily download data that you created in (or imported into) ProofHub to your device. This would enable them to transfer projects, tasks, people, files, discussions, notes and everything else from their ProofHub account into their own system. Only the owner of the account has the control over this export feature, and once done they can easily get access to all the data that is stored in your ProofHub account.

Exporting data is useful for common tasks such as moving data back and forth between ProofHub account and any device, even when there is no access to the internet. All that needs to be done is select the option to export on the accounts page. Once done, it will take some time to put together all the data in your ProofHub account, depending on how much data is in your account.

Each project (including archived ones) is broken out into its own folder. Users get discussions, tasks lists and tasks, files, notes and their list of people exported as a zipped file. Any Google drive or Dropbox documents added to the projects will be linked on the files page, but will not appear in the attachments folder. When the data is ready, you’ll receive an email with a link to your data in ProofHub. Clicking on the link takes you directly to a HTML link in your own web browser, wherein you can access all information related to your projects in your account. Open the export to view your project data locally. The links are contextual, so you can navigate through your account.

“At ProofHub we are always working on keeping our customers’ data 100% safe and backing it up regularly. However, we felt that there would be times, when they might feel the need of a personal backup of their own in their device, so that they can access it anytime or share it with anyone. And, this also made them feel even more sure that all their data is within their reach and can be accessed from anywhere. Considering that we came up with this solution to allow our customers the ability to export all their data from ProofHub into any device they use and the access to it through any web browser,” commented team ProofHub on the launch.
