Composer and performer, John Padovano, has written a book titled: "From Italy to Baroque Park - The story of a family and 'Poesia and Chanson.'"

After the Padovano and Macino families emigrated from Italy to settle in The Ironbound Section of Newark, New Jersey, thus began the development of John Padovano's music that he calls "Poesia and Chanson." Padovano, later in his life, returns to The Ironbound to perform a concert in his old neighborhood. His story also explains his desire to visit a small village in Italy called Mandaradoni.

The influence from Padovano's parents, his early childhood neighborhood, and a special year in his life in the 1960s is explored in this book.

Padovano has released 18 albums, and he performs aka The Ironbound Crooner and aka John "Giovanni" Padovano.
