May 18 California Jazz & Wine Festival Features Ambrosia

Headlining the third annual California Jazz & Wine Festival in Thousand Oaks, will be the legendary rock/R&B/progressive band Ambrosia and other noted jazz and R&B musicians.

Thousand Oaks, CA, April 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Headlining the third annual California Jazz & Wine Festival in Thousand Oaks, will be the legendary rock/R&B/progressive band Ambrosia and other noted jazz and R&B musicians. The festival runs for 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18 at Conejo Creek Park, North (1379 East Janss Road) in Thousand Oaks. Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise, proceeds support high school music programs in the Conejo Valley.

Ambrosia’s hits include “How Much I Feel,” “Biggest Part of Me,” “Holdin’ On To Yesterday” and “You’re The Only Women.” "Ambrosia has performed all over the world. It’s nice to play right in our own backyard," says Burleigh Drummond, drummer for Ambrosia and musical director for the festival. “I’ve been involved in the festival since its beginnings and it’s a thrill to have Ambrosia be a part of it.”

In addition to Ambrosia, the musical lineup for the afternoon includes keyboardist and vocalist Mighty Mo Rodgers, jazz bass aficionado Alphonso Johnson who was a member of the jazz fusion band Weather Report. Also performing is the Guyer/Drummond Trio featuring a mix of jazz, pop, R&B and California soul.

Pouring at the festival will be Alma Sol Winery, Bean Crazy, Casa Barranca, Cielo Farms, Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Golden Star Vineyards, Herzog Wine Cellars, J Hamilton Wines, Magnavino Cellars, Vinemark Cellars, Aldabella Custom Crush Winery & Storage, Goldenstar Vineyards & Winery, Sunland Vintage Winery Tasting Room and Panaro Brothers Winery & Tasting Room.

Local restaurants and caterers offering samplings of their gourmet cuisine are I Would Rather Be Baking, Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, Marmalade Cafe, Fresh Brothers Pizza, Paul Martin's American Grill and Niroj Levant Cuisine. More food exhibitors will be announced as the event grows closer.
