Twelve Foot Ninja Wins "Best New Talent" at Revolver Golden God Awards 2014

Twelve Foot Ninja has received the Best New Talent award at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods Awards, America’s only hard rock and heavy metal awards show. With the winners determined by the fans, the Australian group beat out fellow nominees Deafheaven, Scar The Martyr, ††† (Crosses), Heaven’s Basement and Issues for the award.

New York, NY, May 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- “I've seen Twelve Foot Ninja’s music unify strangers and bring peace to the world… I’ve been there when famous musicians rethink the way they approach song writing after hearing the Ninja’s unique edge and flavor.” – Jose Mangin (siriusxm)

“Twelve Foot Ninja are basically one of the best live bands I have ever seen in my life. Holy f***k they are tight.” – Misha Mansoor (Periphery)

“They’re heavy without being dumbed down, catchy without being cheesy, and they blend seemingly disparate styles in a seamless way…” – Metal Sucks

The Golden God win comes right before Twelve Foot Ninja embarks on a headlining tour of North America. The April/May trek will coincide with a handful of appearances at some of the premier U.S. rock festivals, including Rock On The Range and Carolina Rebellion. The group’s return to North America will find them continuing to perform in support of its critically acclaimed full-length album, Silent Machine. A full rundown of dates for the tour can be seen below.

Showcasing the group’s refreshing blend of metal with a turn-on-a-dime experimental side, Silent Machine received its official North American release in October 2013, and crept into the Top 20 of CMJ’s Loud Rock music charts. Siriusxm’s Liquid Metal quickly jumped on board, and its listeners awarded Twelve Foot Ninja the titles Best Artist Discovery of 2013 and Best Song Discovery for the album’s opening track, “Coming For You.” Twelve Foot Ninja has also been championed by Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater/Avenged Sevenfold), Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Misha Mansoor (Periphery), Chris Broderick (Megadeth) and Wolf Van Halen (Van Halen/Tremonti).
