Harvard Business School Students Launch Cricket-Derived Dog-Treat Startup, Entobites

Boston, MA, May 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Entobites' mission is to make a substantial impact in the environment by creating delicious dog treats with insect proteins. It wants to simultaneously bring transparency to the pet food industry by offering an all-natural human-grade product as well as introduce crickets as a source of protein for your pet.

Its peanut butter-flavored product, consisting of crickets (hypoallergenic), fruits, and vegetables, has no artificial preservatives / additives and is prepared with human-grade ingredients. Entobites is rich in protein, calcium, omega 3 and several other essential vitamins and minerals for dogs. Given the ento origin (crickets) of the protein, its treat requires much less resources to be produced (water, feed and space) and generates much less greenhouse gas emissions than treats derived from beef, chicken or fish.

The Entobites team consists of 6 first-year MBA students.

Entobites is made in the USA. Dogs love it. You can order online at www.entobites.com. It aims to be on several retailers’ shelves in the next few weeks.
