)-- iBoard, an innovative ironing board system invented by the award-winning design team at Instinctive Works, LLC, is now available to the public.
Guided by the Instinctive Works team’s passion for design, and using results of consumer research and insight, the iBoard redefines ironing with a solution that is whisper-quiet, sturdy, eye-catching, and unlike any other product on the market.
“Ironing boards have always been noisy and unstable, and consumers have been forced to accept it,” said David Farnworth, President of Instinctive Works, LLC and Inventor of the iBoard. “iBoard changes everything about ironing. It solves a century-old problem and makes ironing less stressful and more enjoyable.”
In contrast to typical ironing boards which can wobble, the “feet” on the iBoard were inspired by the Apollo Module used for the first moon landing, with extra-large, rounded, padded bottoms to help balance and stabilize the board. The thick foam padding is designed to be no-skid and non-marking, so the board will not scratch floors or other surfaces.
The patent-pending iBoard is shaped like a surfboard, which increases the size of the ironing surface. The board also features oversized dual-release levers, a retractable iron rest and clothing rack, and surf-inspired covers available in bold Hawaiian Flower and sleek Cool Gray and Aqua Stripes.
Consumers have taken to Twitter (@myiboard) and online shopping sites to express their positive reactions to the iBoard and its accessories. Verified Reviews on Amazon.com describe iBoard products as “high quality”, “stylish” “very sturdy”, “easy to open”, and “fun”.
“The initial consumer interest in the product is extremely exciting,” Farnworth continued. “With the current demand for the product on Amazon.com and other retailers anxious to feature the product in the near future, we’re on-track to surpass our 6-month sales goal in half the time.”
The full iBoard product line is available for purchase through myiboards.com and at Amazon.com, with kmart.com, sears.com and additional online and brick-and-mortar partnerships currently being finalized.
