)-- Stradalli Cycle, the high performance carbon bicycle manufacturer, is pleased to announce that Jessi Prinner has defended her Division I women’s title at the USA Cycling 2014 Collegiate Road Nationals.
Prinner, who was riding a Stradalli Phantom II full carbon bicycle, outpaced and outclassed the rest of the field. She beat her closest challenger Amy Chandos by over two minutes with a time of 46:23.26. Riding for Midwestern State University, Prinner's time was in fact faster than any of the teams in the team time trial.
The 2014 USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals were held on a 9.5 mile course in Richmond, VA. For the Individual Time Trial event Prinner needed to complete two laps of the gruelling course. The results will also serve as the official test event for the 2015 UCI Road World Championships.
Jessi Prinner rides for Colavita/Fine Cooking-Stradalli Women's Pro Cycling Team. Stradalli is Team Colavita/Fine Cooking’s official bicycle sponsor and has supplied Prinner with a Stradalli RP14 Carbon fiber road bike and a Phantom II time trial bike.
“Congratulations to Jessi for such a brilliant win in Richmond,” said Thomas Steinbacher, CEO of Stradalli Cycle. “Having someone like Jessi racing on our bicycles is such a honor for Stradalli. She is a great asset for Team Colavita/Fine Cooking, as well as being a superb athlete and a wonderful person.”
The Phantom II time trial frame is one of Stradalli’s most advanced designs. It uses a bayonet style fork that improves the aerodynamics and reduce drag. It also uses an integrated fork, stem, and handlebar design that allows the rider to take a near perfect aerodynamic position which decreases drag and improves the overall speed.
