Ocala, FL, May 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- 172 Years Later... Edgar Allan Poe's Masterpiece "Masquerade of the Red Death" awakens with awe in Ocala Florida. And you are invited to attend.

On June 14, 2014, Edgar Allan Poe's masterpiece "The Masque of the Red Death" will be recreated in the form of a Gothic Victorian Masquerade Ball at the Seven Sister's Inn in Ocala, Florida. The Insomniac Theatre Company pays tribute to the anniversary of this epic short story's original publication date of 1842, by brilliantly creating a mystical production within the extensive outside and inside spaces of one of Ocala Florida’s historical icon.

Scenes from this spectral work (and other Poe's treasures) will be performed by a cast of live actors, as they mingle with the guests and other magical entertainers, including magicians, wizards and other characters from the shadows of the mystique. Each and every one of the "castle's" rooms will be dazzled with iconic hues and amazing special effects, teasing your imagination into the powerful classical remnants of the Poe-ish mind.

The Insomniac Theatre Company will transform the Seven Sister's Inn into an Edgar Allan Poe themed "House of Horrors" based on several of Poe's stories with a main theme of The Mask of the Red Death. Individual rooms will be based on the following stories: The Cask of Amontillado, The Black Cat, Fall of the House of Usher, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, and The Pit and the Pendulum. The gardens and courtyards of the "castle" will only be protected by the moon-lit torches, defining the delicate thresholds between life and death... "never more."

This event, hosted by Prince Prospero, will submerge the guests into the midst of its powerful story line, so strongly that one will not be able to decipher who is a fantasy player or another stunned and unprepared by-stander of the night. All guests are requested to dress in Masked Victorian Ball costumes and refrain from wearing red… as in the Red Death.

Tickets are $45/person and will include incredible acting, magical and musical entertainment with special effects, two glasses of Poe-Blend wine (or other beverages) and appetizers served by the castle’s jesters. Overnight “Poe-static” overnight packages are offered by the inn, for the opportunity to sleep in the castle.
