City of Duluth Introduces Drainage Assistance - Rip Rap Stormwater Drainage Maintenance Program

The City of Duluth has developed a new drainage assistance program.

Duluth, GA, May 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The City of Duluth has developed a new drainage assistance program. This program has been developed to assist single family residential property owners maintain drainage easements on their property. Under the program, the City of Duluth will provide up to 20 tons of surge stone delivered to a residential property for the erosion protection of a drainage easement. It is the property owner’s responsibility to place the rock in the area requiring erosion control within 30 days of delivery. The City will inspect the property after 30 days for project completion. Property owners who misuse the rock and fail to install it in the area will be billed for the total delivered price of the stone.

Implementation and maintenance of an approved project is the sole responsibility of the property owner. The City of Duluth is not liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from said work. The City of Duluth will not be responsible for picking up any unused or unwanted rock. Rock will not be provided to properties with sidewalks, utilities, sprinkler systems, or landscape materials in the right of way, which prohibit the delivery of rock.
