Marhaba Middle Eastern Restaurant Wins Consecutive Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Awards

Marhaba Middle Eastern Restaurant receives high praise from satisfied customers, winning it back-to-back Talk of the Town Awards.

Lambertville, NJ, May 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Earning the highest possible customer satisfaction rating of 5 stars, Marhaba Middle Eastern Restaurant has won its second straight Talk of the Town Customer Satisfaction Award in the Restaurants category.

Lambertville’s only Middle Eastern restaurant when it opened in 2009, Marhaba Middle Eastern Restaurant has become a local favorite. “When we opened, we were the only Middle Eastern restaurant in the local area,” says Tracey Branson, the restaurant’s co-owner and wife of Karim Elsharabasi, the restaurant’ chef and co-owner. “We didn’t want people to patronize us just because we were there; we wanted to serve the best plates in town because we love good food just like they do.”

Karim, a self-taught chef, strives to bring new life to his cuisine, playing with the spices. “We wanted to give our American customers more credit for their daring in trying unfamiliar things,” says Branson. “I think that our unusual take on the cuisine, casual rustic ambiance, and unusual musical selections are what set us apart from other restaurants.”

The couple’s risks have paid off, translating into a host of loyal customers who come back to the restaurant time and again. “We have found that we are accidental cultural ambassadors in a way,” says Branson. “We have delighted in guiding our guests through their first taste of Middle Eastern food and answering questions about the culture. And we are always flattered when people from places such as Armenia or Lebanon tell us that we make Lahmabajin like their grandmother. We like to think that we are bringing a little bit of joy, peace and understanding to our little corner of the world.”

Serving customers is about more than just offering great food at this Lambertville restaurant, though. “Even on the busiest nights we try to remember that every person who walks through our door is a special guest and potential friend,” says Branson. “We want every person who comes in to leave with their hunger sated and a smile on their face. That is what we tell all of our employees from the start.”

Branson is quick to note that their success would not be what it is without the help of talented and loyal employees who have been supportive throughout the restaurant’s five years in business, as well as the customers. “Winning a second Talk of the Town Award tells us that our patrons have felt our efforts, and we can’t thank them enough for their support,” she says. “We would like to thank the people who voted for us. We are truly moved by this attention.”
