Naples Area Catholic School Launches Smartphone/Tablet App

First school in the Diocese of Venice to build an iPhone/Android app to streamline communication with parents and the community.

Naples, FL, May 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- St. Elizabeth Seton School in Golden Gate, now has a smartphone-tablet app that allows school administrators to communicate with parents directly on their phones and tablet devices sharing alerts, schedules, school news feeds, contact numbers and more. The new app, published in Google Play, and soon to be live in the iTunes App Store also gives parents the convenience of completing forms and paying fees and tuition right from their mobile device.

Mobile apps are being adopted quickly by schools with thousands using them now to engage parents who grew up on the web and expect communication to be convenient and available on the devices they use most, smartphones and tablets. Schools that have adopted mobile apps are beginning to see greater involvement from parents and even grandparents and increased school loyalty.

St. Elizabeth Seton assistant principal, Marrie McLaughlin, said, "We are pleased to be the first school in southwest Florida to develop a smartphone/tablet app for our parents, students and the community. We believe that in today's mobile world, an app helps us better communicate our school value. This is the future of all school communication."

The faith community of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School serves families in the southern Lee and Collier County area of the Diocese of Venice. The ministry of the school is to provide a quality education where Catholic traditions and values are reinforced and incorporated into all areas of instruction, in an atmosphere of faith, discipline, and love. St. Elizabeth Seton School is an extension of the teaching mission of the Catholic Church.

The goal of the administration, faculty, and staff is to nurture the development of a complete, well-rounded child. In order to accomplish this goal, the school emphasizes high academic standards and moral values. The curriculum is designed to encourage all students to achieve their spiritual, intellectual, and social potential, as well as understand the relevance of Catholic values in their daily lives.

The St. Elizabeth Seton mobile app was developed by WhizFish, an interactive, agency in Toledo, Ohio.
