San Antonio's Wellness Center Dedicates Meditation Garden

Moore Inspirations and the other members of San Antonio's Wellness Center launch their new meditation garden on Thursday, October 25 at 4 p.m.

San Antonio, TX, October 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Tibetan Singing Bowls, a Celtic music concert, hypnosis with light and sound therapy, chair massage, reflexology-- if you've ever wanted to experience any of these, you could try them all on Thursday, October 25. That date marks the reGrand Opening festivities for the San Antonio's Wellness Center (SAWC.)

"It¹s finally finished," says director, Kathy Moore, a local hypnotist and motivational consultant (www.mooreinspire.com.) She's referring to the Meditation Garden at SAWC, the cooperative where she works along with twelve other holistic practitioners. The group moved to the 4823 Fredericksburg Rd. address two years ago from the old "Crystal Pistol" building on San Pedro. "When we moved over here," says Moore, "we visualized the entire facility as conducive to stress reduction and healing. We wanted people to feel peaceful just by walking through the door." "They must have succeeded," she adds, "because, those are the kinds of comments clients make."

The group of independent business owners set out to design the space with tranquility in mind. Clients can experience rebalancing of their energy centers (called chakras) just by focusing on the color therapy tapesty in the hallway. The entire space was laid out using Feng Shui principles with local expert, Joyce Smith. Live plants and fountains fill the area and each therapy room is painted in a "healing" color, mostly shades of green. Many clients comment on the soothing aromatherapy smells and enjoy the relaxation sounds. But the focal point for the center is the Meditation Garden, complete with mural painted by local artist, Seth Camm, who gained notoriety with his project involving homeless people. Clients and visitors, including the 'just plain curious' are invited to relax awhile in the garden or attend any of the other activities during the program which begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

San Antonio¹s Wellness Center is located just north of Loop 410 and Crossroads Mall, across from La Fonda in the Lakewood Plaza. Highlights of the program are a mini concerts with Celtic musician, James Hazelrig, and Tibetan bowls musician, Jodi Roberts. (www.sacredinspiration.com.) Also included are:
