Research Science Institute Alumni Named U.S. Presidential Scholars

Four RSI Alumni Named United States Presidential Scholars for their Academic Accomplishments.

McLean, VA, May 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) announces that four Research Science Institute (RSI) alumni are among the 141 high school seniors named U.S. Presidential Scholars for their accomplishments in academics.

Appointed by President Obama, the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars selects honored scholars annually based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts combined with evidence of community service, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to high ideals.

The following RSI’13 alumni are members of the 50th Class of U.S. Presidential Scholars:

Alabama, Cullman - Leigh M. Braswell, Phillips Exeter Academy
Arizona, Scottsdale - Rajet Vatsa, Brophy College Preparatory
Louisiana, New Orleans - Luke Z. Tang, Benjamin Franklin Senior High School
New Mexico, Albuquerque - Eric H. Li, Albuquerque Academy

The U.S. Presidential Scholars will be honored for their accomplishments in Washington on June 22nd, when each honoree will receive a Presidential Scholar Medallion. The program was created in 1964 and has honored more than 6,500 of this nation’s top-performing students with the prestigious award.
