Glendale Lutheran School Launches Smartphone App

First school in the area to build an iPhone/Android app to streamline communication with parents and the community.

Glendale, CA, May 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Glendale Lutheran School, now has a smartphone-tablet app that allows school adminstrators to communicate with parents directly on their phones and tablet devices sharing alerts, schedules, school news feeds, contact numbers and more. The new app, published in the iTunes App Store and Google Play, also gives parents the convenience of staying in close contact with the school from their mobile device.

Mobile apps are being adopted quickly by schools with thousands using them now to engage parents who grew up on the web and expect communication to be convenient and available on the devices they use most, smartphones and tablets. Schools that have adopted mobile apps are beginning to see greater involvement from parents and even grandparents and increased school loyalty.

The mission of Salem Lutheran School is to educate students through quality instruction emphasizing Jesus Christ as the foundation of their lives, in which their potential can be nurtured and developed as they grow in faith.

The Glendale Lutheran School mobile app was developed by WhizFish, an interactive agency in Toledo, Ohio. The company has developed apps for a variety of other schools, both public and private.

The app can be found in both the iTunes App store here and in Google Play.
