Tab Maker Introduces Improved Hand-Held Hole Punch

E. L. Hatton Sales Co., maker of Banner Ups PowerTabs® Adhesive Grommet Tabs, announces introduction of the new and improved version of its popular PowerPunch® a heavy duty hand-held punch capable of easily cutting holes in thick banner material.

Wellington, OH, June 05, 2014 --( The new PowerPunch has a wider jaw capable of cutting through thicker materials. The New Improved PowerPunch can cut through banner substrates up to 4.5 mm thick. The former version was limited to only 3mm. The new PowerPunch can cut through double folded banner corners, and through original Banner Ups corners, which are thicker than PowerTabs. Another great benefit is that the new punch will cut clean holes through 4mm corrugated plastic and foam board without compressing and deforming the board. – something no other punch or grommet press can do.

This innovative tool has a replaceable punch that ensure long term durability far greater than paper punches or single-hole dies, which become dull quickly. Due to its relatively small size and light weight PowerPunch is completely portable and significantly lower in cost than benchtop grommet presses.

“Customers love the PowerPunch because it is so easy to use, portable, and durable. But they have been asking for us to make it with a wider jaw,” explained company president Rick Hatton, “The new PowerPunch will not only cut through thick folds of banner media, tabs and tape, it will also easily punch holes through corrugated plastic and foam board, for which, frankly, there is no other tool available. This opens up a whole new market for the product.”
