ATS Launches Nine New Product Families for Electronics Thermal Management

Advanced Thermal Solutions, Inc. (ATS) has released nine new product lines for the thermal management of electronics. The new electronics cooling products consist of over 100 heat pipes, heat exchangers, chillers, thermoelectric modules and assemblies, leak detectors, flow meters and portable anemometers.

Norwood, MA, June 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Advanced Thermal Solutions, Inc. (ATS) has introduced nine new families of products for more effectively managing heat issues in electronic devices. The nine product lines feature more than 100 individual product offerings.

The new line of ATS Portable Anemometers conveniently measure air for flow speed, volumetric flow rate and temperature. The hand-held vane anemometers allow convenient measurements in HVAC and automotive studies, fume hoods, air ducts, wind tunnels, and in various sea born applications. The new ATS Heat Pipes are used to transfer heat with minimal temperature difference or to spread heat across a surface. Each heat pipe has a copper tube and sintered copper wick structure, and contains distilled water as its working fluid. Lengths of round profile heat pipes range from 200-300 mm and diameters range from 4.0 to 8.0 mm. Flat heat pipes range in length from 100-250 mm, width x height dimensions include 8.0 x 3.0 mm and 8.2 x 2.5 mm to 10.5 x 4.5 mm and above. Each heat pipe can easily be attached to a heat sink for enhanced thermal transfer. Also, ATS’s thermal engineering team can assist customers with custom and off the shelf heat pipe solutions. The ATS Automatic Shut-Off Valves/Leak Detectors are battery-operated electronic devices that detect water leaks in piping systems. When a leak is detected it automatically shuts off an integral valve to prevent water flow. The valve also beeps an alarm to indicate the presence of a leak. Applications include water-dependent systems in labs and industry, and filtration systems. Adapters accommodate a wide range of plastic and brass piping. The new ATS Chill-V and ATS Chill-T Series of Portable Re-circulator Chillers provide precise temperature management of recirculating coolants via PID-controlled vapor compression or thermoelectric modules. The Chill-V and Chill-T series operate from 0 degree C to 42 degree C. Other features include LED Display for status and RS-232 communication port (Chill-T Series). The chillers provide cooling capacity up to 600W for ensuring accurately cold fluids in labs, industrial systems, laser thermal management, and in calibration and characterization studies. ATS also provides an immersion chiller system for controlling temperature in fluid baths. (http://www.qats.com/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Chillers)

A new ATS series of digital Flow Meters are used for measuring volumetric flow rate of water inside pipes. The compact devices instantly read flow rates and calculate accumulated volume of flow during a user-selected interval. The units turn on automatically when there is flow rate, and shuts off when flow rate stops. Additional features include low battery power warning and data saving after power off. The Flow Meters have an accuracy of +/- 10% with an operational temperature range from 0-40 degree C. Applications include water filtration systems, cooling systems, laboratory testing, water dispensers, and various industrial uses. (http://www.qats.com/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Flow-Meter)

ATS’ new Thermoelectric Assemblies are used for removing heat from enclosures. Air-to-air assemblies are used for circulating cooled air in place of direct contact using a cold plate. Air-to-plate assemblies are heat exchangers for removing heat from a plate attached to its cold side. The plate can be used for mounting components, boards or test specimens to maintain their constant temperature. All units are compressor-free and can be mounted in any orientation. Thermoelectric assemblies can be used for device and enclosure cooling, in refrigeration and water cooling, storage and transportation, and in medical and biological applications. The family is compact and lightweight, do not need compressors, and can be mounted in any orientation. (http://www.qats.com/Products/TEC/TEC-Assembly)

ATS’s also announces the release of their new family of ATS Thermoelectric Cooler Modules, or TECs. TECs are solid-state heat pumps that work as coolers or heaters depending on the direction of the electric current running through them. The new TEC Modules from ATS are available in form factors from 10 x 10 mm to 50 x 50 mm. They are thin in width, ranging from 3.3 to 4.7 mm. Applications include refrigerators, telecom and biomed equipment, and laser diodes. (http://www.qats.com/Products/TEC/TEC-Modules)

ATS’s new family of liquid-to-air Heat Exchangers feature the industry’s highest density fins to maximize heat transfer from the contained fluid to the surrounding air. All tube and fins are made of copper and stainless steel to accommodate a wide choice of fluids. Provided with integral fans, the ATS heat exchangers are available in a range of sizes, and heat transfer capacities from 22W to 250W. They can be used in a wide variety of automotive, industrial, HVAC, electronics and medical applications. (http://www.qats.com/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Heat-Exchangers)

All of the new thermal management products are now available. They can be ordered on the ATS website at http://www.qats.com or call ATS at 1-781-769-2800.
