Study Abroad Europe Adds Its Programs to the Terra Dotta Software Directory

Colleges and Universities now can enroll students with a single click.

New York, NY, June 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Study Abroad Europe has partnered with Terra Dotta, a software company based in North Carolina. This venture will allow Colleges and Universities to enroll students in study abroad immersion programs with a single click.

Study Abroad Europe offers cultural immersion throughout Europe with several fields of study including Hospitality Management, Art, History, Business, and Culinary Arts. They will now be offering an easier platform for educators enrolling students in their programs. Terra Dotta and Study Abroad Europe will provide this cutting edge technology in the hopes the easy to enroll platform will increase student participation in study abroad programs.

Currently only a small percentage of college students from the United States studies abroad, approximately 283,000 students in the 2012/2013 academic year according to the Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange. It’s estimated that less than ten percent of students will have studied internationally by the time they graduate. Study Abroad Europe hopes to double this number by the year 2020.

They have pledged with the Institute of International Education (IIE), an independent not-for-profit organization, not only to increase the number of students studying abroad, but broadening the diversity of students who do so. Study Abroad Europe has pledged to increase the participation of minorities and socio-economically disadvantaged students by fifty percent over the following five years. This will be done through the user-friendly Directory offered by Terra Dotta, as well as providing student aid and scholarships.

Study Abroad Europe offers programs in 9 countries including the UK, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Morocco and Greece. All programs include housing, meals, transportations, insurance and weekend cultural activities and excursions. Scholarships and financial aid are also available.
