888 Auctions to Showcase Exceptional Pair of Chinese Gilt Gold Bronze Vases July 3

Richmond Hill, Canada, June 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- 888 Auctions is proud to highlight fine jewellery, carvings, ceramics, and bronzes in its Asian Art and Antiques sale. For those on the lookout for great value and exceptional quality, do not hesitate in previewing their July 3 sale.

With estimates ranging from as low as $100 to $20,000, interested collectors and connoisseurs from all over the world will have the opportunity to bid on fine jade carvings and jewellery; Chinese watercolour paintings and ceramics; bronzeware and coins; horn and ivory carvings; and traditional antique Chinese furniture.

Leading the 517-lot sale is Lot 440, a Pair of Chinese 10K Gold Gilt Bronze Vases. The quatrefoil-shaped body is covered in 10k gold and features handles in the form of chilong charmingly clambering up the body. Marked with a four-character Qianlong Mark on the base, the nearly 32 cm pair of vases commands a $20,000 high estimate.

From the collection of jewellery on display for the sale, three pieces are sure to garner a great amount of attention. Incidentally, the three lots are listed in consecutive order and are as follows:
· Lot 120: An Emerald Green Jadeite 18k Gold Diamond Pendant (High Estimate: $2,500)
· Lot 121: A Very Fine Hetian White Jade Three Ring Pendant (High Estimate: $2,400)
· Lot 122: A 14K Gold Emerald Green Jade Cuff Links & Earrings (High Estimate: $5,000)

Jadeite carved bangles continue to be in high demand and with definitive testing conducted by 888 Auction’s very own JadeLab laboratories, buyers can feel confident in bidding on high quality ‘A’ Grade jadeite. An example a quality jadeite carved bangle can be found at Lot 154 which features a Natural Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle with a high estimate of $8,000.

Other stone carved works of art featuring agate and Tianhuang stone are featured at Lot 270 and Lot 303. Lot 270 features a Tall Chinese Agate Carved Tower Pagoda Censer (High Estimate: $8,000) while Lot 303 features a Fine Chinese Tianhuang Pebble Stone Scholar’s Boulder. Lot 303 is particularly remarkable in its distinct red veins characteristic of Tianhuang stone and collectors can be satisfied in finding those distinguishing characteristics from other shoushan stone carvings.

Last but not least is Lot 429, a Fine Chinese Qing Period Cloisonné Censer marked with a Qianlong Mark on base. Carrying a high estimate of $8,000, the cloisonné Pagoda-style censer is finely cast and supported on three feet with a domed roof ending in a dragon head finial.
