Berkeley, CA, June 16, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- India would need an employment generating robust manufacturing sector to achieve an annual growth of 10%, a top government official said, "If India has to grow at 9-10% per annum and if India has to create jobs for its very large population then to my mind we have to drive our manufacturing.”
Athulan Vijayaraghavan, System Insights’ Chief Technology Officer, noted, “VIMANA's analytics can find ways of increasing manufacturing capacity without cap-ex costs, which can help deliver the robust growth that the Indian manufacturing sector needs. System Insight's also has a very experienced team in Chennai that can work with manufacturers in developing innovative strategies to improve shopfloor productivity.”
Secretary of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Amitabh Kant commented, "Manufacturing cannot be driven unless and until India becomes innovation led economy and therefore innovation has to be the backbone of India's growth. Manufacturing, which constitutes over 75% of the index of industrial production (IIP), declined 3.7% in February as against growth of 2.1% in the same month a year ago.”
System Insights will exhibit VIMANA at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at Booth: E-4736 Pavilion: IANA. The show will be September 8-13 at McCormick Place, Chicago IL.
