Korea University Offers Research Project to Chitkara Student

Chandigarh, India, July 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Arpit Gupta, student of Electronics and Communication Engineering, 3rd Semester, while on a Semester Exchange to Korea University, Sejong campus has been offered an opportunity to be a part of a research project on photonics and wave optics. The yearlong research project subject will be determined from the practical problems associated with the dispersion relation analysis of optical waves in nano photonic structures and metamaterials.

She, along with other ITS members, also got a chance to visit the 15th Jeonju International Film Festival, Jeondong Catholic Church (one of the oldest church in the country) and Jeonju Pungnammun in Jeonju. They also visited DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone-border between North Korea & South Korea). In DMZ itself, first they went to Dorasan Station which once connected the North and South Korea, then to End of Separation, Beginning Of Unification from where they could see North Korea, then to The Third Tunnel where they watched a movie based on DMZ and went inside the underground tunnel and lastly to the Paju DMZ Museum.
