Comedy Talk Show Launching on Tampa Bay Talk Radio

Conversation Comedy talks funny to Tampa Bay.

Tampa, FL, June 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Conversation Comedy launches on July 8th at 6 PM Est., on Tampa Bay radio on the Tan Talk Network. Now the Tampa Bay Area comedy fans can keep pace with their favorite celebrity comedians and entertainers as Conversation Comedy extends the comedy club into the studio with exclusive one-on-one conversations with the comics that keep us laughing. Conversation Comedy is a weekly, one hour talk show that reaches out to the mainstream comedy fan. The show is produced primarily from studios in Burbank, CA and hosted by comedian/talk show host and former Tampa resident Patrick Melton.

Patrick grew up in the Bay Area, graduated from USF with a Masters degree and became a nationally touring comedian. As a comedian, he has performed across the United States as well as internationally and was recently semi-finalist in Comedy Central’s UPNEXT Talent Search. As a talk show host, Patrick has had success as the creator and host of Nobody Likes Onion’s podcast since 2005. The show has been ranked as one of the highest rated shows on Podcast Alley and was nominated for two Podcast Awards in both 2006 and 2007 (Best Produced and Best Comedy in 2006 / People's Choice and Best Comedy in 2007), and won the Best Comedy Award in 2007. NLO has also been featured on SIRIUS Satellite Radio. With over 1,000 episodes and tens of thousands of listeners worldwide, the podcast averages around 10,000 downloads a month.

Conversation Comedy can be heard syndicated in the Tampa Bay market on the Tan Talk Network, with original, first-run episodes on terrestrial Talk radio (1340AM, 1350AM, 1400AM) and streaming online.

For the listeners on the run, the show is also heard worldwide on the podcast platform, which will be accessible online through the websites.

Each episode will feature interviews with comics, such as Chris Porter, Bill Burr or Pablo Francisco stopping by to chat about a project or just rant about current affairs. The show will also be interactive on it's Facebook and Twitter pages.

The first show will feature an interview with comedian Ian Bagg, who will be performing at the Tampa Improv the launch week of July 8th.
