)-- Headwaters Relief Organization announced the 6th Annual Run with Purpose 5K will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. The family-friendly, casual run benefits children and families recovering from natural disasters. Awards will be given for the top Men's, Women's and Under 12 race finishers. Awards will also be given for pets, allowed to attend if leashed. The event will also feature fun disaster preparedness activities for kids after the race.
Online registration is now open until Thursday, July 31. As with all of Headwaters Relief’s public fund raising, 100% of the money raised by the Run with Purpose 5K will go directly toward victims of natural disasters. In addition to funds raised from the run, Headwaters Relief also accepts direct donations to support their efforts.
