Gerson Therapy Documentary Reveals Unexpected Secrets for Combating Chronic Illness

Documentary “Heal Yourself, Heal the World” to be released 7/8.

Warren, NJ, July 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Gerson Therapy, a time-tested approach to treating chronic illness, including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, is the subject of a forthcoming documentary entitled “Heal Yourself, Heal the World.”

The innovations of Dr. Max Gerson, developed in the 1920s, never spread to the medical community at large during his lifetime. In 1977, Charlotte Gerson founded the Gerson institute to spread awareness of her late father’s discoveries. The Gerson Therapy activates the body’s extraordinary ability to heal itself by treating toxicity and nutrient deficiency. Hallmarks of the treatment include an organic, vegetarian diet, raw juices, and natural supplements.

The film features over 25 interviews with health and science professionals including: Anita Wilson, Executive Director of the Gerson Institute; Andrew Kimbrell, Director of Center for Food Safety; Jay Kordich, author of the #1 New York Times best-seller The Juiceman's Power of Juicing; T. Colin Campbell, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry, Cornell University; Dr. Carolyn Dean, MD, ND, Author Best You Ever.

Special features include a previously unavailable transcript of Dr. Gerson’s testimony before the Pepper-Neely congressional committee on cancer research, which had been removed from congressional archives.

The film is being distributed by Passion River Films, who have previously distributed the popular documentary about raw juice diets, “Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead.”

“Heal Yourself, Heal the World: The Legacy of Dr. Max Gerson” will be available on DVD through Passion River Films starting July 8. The film will also be available in an educational edition for use in university classrooms.
