Local Rotary Club Decides to Use Prison Gang for Fundraising Event

Pocomoke City, MD, October 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Get ready for a fundraiser like no other fundraiser. The Pocomoke City Rotary Club will be hosting a fundraising event featuring a live performance by The Folsom Prison Gang; a North Carolina based Johnny Cash tribute band. The Gang rolls into town on Saturday, January 19th 2008. This all-ages event will be held at the Elks Lodge #1624 in Pocomoke City at 8:00PM.

Selecting from the over 1,400 songs that were recorded by Johnny Cash over his 50+ years of music, The Folsom Prison Gang performs the hits and favorites that everyone remembers and loves. "We also play some of the forgotten favorites," explains Ryan Watts, one the bands guitar players. "Hits from 30-40 years ago that you don't hear too often anymore or that you might have completely forgotten about. Some folks will be reunited with some of their old time favorites, others may be introduced to some new favorites. It will be a fun event that is supporting an important community organization." explains Ryan.
