Keystone Memory Group Joins the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries

Langhorne, PA, July 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Keystone Memory Group today announced that it has joined the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), the Voice of the Recycling IndustryTM. ISRI is an international trade association for those in the scrap recycling industry, representing more than 1,700 for-profit companies ranging from small, family-owned businesses to large, multi-national corporations. Its members are processors, brokers and industrial consumers of scrap commodities, including ferrous and nonferrous metals, paper, electronics, rubber, plastics, glass and textiles, as well as those companies that provide equipment and services to the industry.

“Our company is delighted to be a part of an organization that does so much for the recycling industry. We look forward to taking advantage of ISRI’s many benefits and becoming an active member by adding our voice to our industry’s trade association,” said Michael P. Sheerr, President of Keystone Memory Group.
Keystone Memory Group LLC is a Philadelphia area memory service provider and business to business computer recycling company.

The company's asset management and recovery service enables businesses and public sector organizations to sustain the value of IT and electronic equipment, in a legally compliant, data secure, fully traceable and environmentally sustainable manner. “Through ISRI, Keystone Memory Group will have an active role in a growing industry that is responsible for nearly half a million American jobs and contributes nearly $90 billion to the U.S. economy each year,” said Robin Wiener, president of ISRI. “Recyclers protect valuable natural resources by processing more than 135 million metric tons of materials annually. We look forward to working with Keystone Memory Group and providing them with many great benefits to help with the success of their business.”

Through processing scrap, recyclers create significant energy savings, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and limit the amount of material that would otherwise be sent to landfills. Scrap products are also major global commodities. In 2012 alone, the United States exported more than 47 million metric tons of scrap commodities valued at $27.8 billion to 160 countries around world.

As part of its ISRI membership, Keystone Memory Group will have access to state-of-the-art education and training ranging from operations and facility management to safety guidance; the most up-to-date information on regulatory matters, market trends and industry news; advocacy tools to promote responsible recycling initiatives at the federal, state, and local levels; community outreach materials; and more.
