Los Angeles, CA, October 22, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- JOURNEYintoSOUL.net is an idea that Thomas Baltazar and Edward Uken came up with one sunny Sunday morning while sitting on a park bench. Ed is a musician, having played saxophone and piano for about ten years. Tom is a DJ with ties to the local Los Angeles soul scene and a marketing background. Out of this partnership was born an idea to create a weekly downloadable radio show that fit on one audio CD and could be transferred to an MP3 player.
The show features artists that produce positive, uplifting, soulful music, and includes in depth artist interviews in a family friendly format. On the website you'll find music videos from featured artists from the weekly show, album reviews, and links to purchase works from the artists. JOURNEYintoSOUL.net has featured artists from Denmark, England, Spain, Mexico, and Japan including Lorenzo Owens, Ian Martin (bassist for Barry Manilow), and the electronic group Chromeo.
The show host and site owner Edward Uken had this to say, "It is our hope that through the medium of the internet that we can bring some warmth, a sense of family, and really beautiful music to a worldwide audience. Eventually I would love to do a world tour in a Volkswagen bus, creating the shows on the road." Also in the works are a coffee table book of photography, a musical documentary, and a book that focuses on the journey of an artist finding himself through traveling the musical landscape in various parts of America.
