Betrayal Runs Deep Dramatic Gospel Stage Play Opens in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA, July 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- With highly watched reality shows as Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love & Hip Hop, and R&B Divas, Atlanta seems to be the drama capital in the US today. Besides all the drama, these productions have one common ingredient that fuels the plot....betrayal. This August, even more betrayal will set fire to the stage in Atlanta. From the producer and playwright, Tiffani Steljamin, along with director, Derek Morgan, comes the new stage play, Betrayal Runs Deep.

Betrayal Runs Deep is more than a story of betrayal, it's a powerful story about three women who struggle to survive lies, deceit and deception. Although Gabbi, Michelle and Nina have very different philosophies on men and relationships, they have always believed their friendship was built on a foundation of trust, faith and forgiveness. Until now… The women are confronted with painful dirty secrets that appear to have been buried many, many years ago. Those dirty secrets of betrayal run so deep... they are almost forgotten. Betrayal Runs Deep will take you on a rollercoaster ride of drama, pain and passion. You’ll laugh, cry and be mad all at the same time.

Such an emotional, spiritual and yet comical storyline must be delivered by a brilliant cast. Therefore, Tiffani Steljamin puts on yet another hat and portrays Gabrielle (Gabbi) who is a film actress with a seemingly perfect life. After all, she is married to the man of her dreams, Martin Stone, played by Deaon “Forever Baby” Smith. Gabbi has two best friends: a successful entertainment attorney, Nina, played by Kristen Hurt and the “saved and sanctified” Michelle, played by Chimere Scott. The play also features the vocal and acting talents of Shanekia Bray, Ron Godfrey and Derek Odom. Also featuring, the talented actor and singer, Ahmad Jamal Mcghee from Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and Madear’s Class Reunion as well as TV One’s Braxton Family Values. Musical scores are all original works by Grammy Award-Winning Producer, Herman Little, in collaboration with playwright, Tiffani Steljamin.
