California Waterscapes Holds One Day Class on How to Build a Pond

Class Teaches Homeowners or Landscape Contractors How to Build Backyard Waterfalls

La Crescenta, CA, October 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- California Waterscapes (http://www.californiawaterscapes.com) and Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division (http://www.propondswest.com) are holding a “Build a Pond Day” on Saturday, November 3, 9am-4pm, at the Pacific Outdoor Living Design Center at 2729 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta, CA. The class teaches anyone from homeowners to landscape contractors how to build backyard water features, such as backyard waterfalls, ponds and streams.

The popularity of backyard ponds, streams and waterfalls is booming. California Waterscapes, which designs and installs waterfalls, ponds and streams at residential and commercial sites throughout the greater Los Angeles area, installs more water features than any other company in the US.

Terry Morrill, CEO of California Waterscapes, stated “Have you ever wondered what it would be like to build a pond or waterfall in your own backyard? Imagine the peace, tranquility and relaxation from your own backyard water feature. You put in a hard day’s work, followed by a stressful commute. Then you come home, walk out to your backyard, sink down into a chair, and feel the stress of the day just melt away, as you listen to the soothing melody of running water and watch your fish, turtles or other wildlife. A waterfall, pond, or stream creates a personal oasis for you right in your own backyard. Even in an urban neighborhood, a water feature creates a private habitat separate from the rest of the neighborhood, and helps drown out city noise. Their “Build a Pond Days” allow anyone, from homeowner to landscape contractor, to come and learn how to install a pond, waterfall or stream, by participating in the actual building of a water feature. It’s all done in one day, from mapping out where the pond will go, to digging the hole, putting down the liner, installing the filters and pumps, putting rocks in and around the pond, putting in lights and aquatic plants, and finally filling it with water.”

California Waterscapes has been designing and installing beautiful and biologically balanced ponds, streams and waterfalls in Southern California since 2001. Terry Morrill is also owner of the Pacific Outdoor Living Design Center, and of Pacific Pavingstone (http://www.pacificpavingstone.com), a designer and installer of paving stone driveways, patios, pool decks and walkways in Southern California since 1999. The company has twice been included on the Inc 500 list of fastest growing companies.
