Chi Solutions Inc. CEO and Salem State University Alumma Kathy Murphy gives back through foundation board appointment.

Dr. Murphy is an alumna of the university and her professional experience spans over 30 years in progressively responsible roles in diagnostic services management and consulting. As Chi’s senior executive, Dr. Murphy oversees complex engagements involving strategic options development, operations optimization, performance improvement, and outreach growth and implementation. As a noted speaker and author, Dr. Murphy also directs the annual performance and publication of Chi’s widely regarded and referenced Comprehensive National Laboratory Outreach Survey.

Before joining Chi Solutions, Inc., Dr. Murphy directed laboratory and radiology operations at two of the top academic medical centers in Boston. Dr. Murphy obtained her PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of Dakota and has completed executive coursework at Dartmouth and Harvard Business School. Murphy recognizes the importance of giving back to the community through volunteering at Merrimack Valley Hospice House as well as being a mentor and presenter for the Enterprise Center at Salem State University to help businesses from start-ups to growth companies to non-profits become more successful. “I am very grateful for the impact Salem State had in launching my professional career and this is my chance to give back,” says Murphy.
