Instart Logic Achieves Exceptional First-Half 2014 Results

Instart Logic Achieves Exceptional 1H 2014 Results. First six months of the year was marked by strong customer growth, product innovations and additional funding.

Mountain View, CA, August 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Instart Logic, the Cloud Application Delivery Service for performance-obsessed organizations, announced the major accomplishments that characterized the company’s success in the first half of 2014. The past two quarters were defined by significant company and customer growth, $26 million in an oversubscribed Series C funding round, major new product innovations, and more. Altogether, these accomplishments round out an exceptional first half and further strengthen Instart Logic’s position as a formidable leader in the application delivery market.

New Customers, Growth, Recognition
Instart Logic’s software-defined application delivery (SDAD) represents a new architectural approach to application delivery that relies on intelligent software as the foundation of an end-to-end solution. Demand for the company’s Cloud Application Delivery Service — the first SDAD offering in the market — has gained industry attention that has translated to four quarters of over 30 percent sequential (quarter-over-quarter) growth and doubled employee headcount since January. Instart Logic also doubled its customer penetration among the top Internet retailers such as Nasty Gal, Commune Hotels, Stella & Dot, and Rent.com.

“Boosting our site performance across devices with Instart Logic has been an incredible competitive differentiator for Wine.com,” said Greg Tatem, VP Engineering, Wine.com. “Our mobile traffic is exploding, and given the dramatic improvements in our performance metrics we’ve seen to date, it’s clear to us that Instart Logic’s software-based approach represents the future of application delivery.”

Instart Logic garnered several award and analyst nods in the first half of the year as well. They include Gartner’s “Cool Vendors in Web Computing, 2014;” “AlwaysOn OnDemand Top 100” list in the “Cloud — Management and Tools” category; the “AlwaysOn Global 250” Top Private Companies list in the “B2B — Cloud and Infrastructure” category; and Internet Retailer’s “Vendor to the Top 500 E-Retailers 2014” list.

New Executive Firepower, VC Investments, Technology Innovations
In April, David Hsieh joined the company as vice president of marketing, bringing with him a stellar 25-year track record of disrupting markets and growing businesses. Just two weeks after Hsieh joined, Instart Logic announced that it had closed a $26 million Series C funding round. Led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the round is being used to support the company’s exponential growth with expanded sales and marketing, and additional investments in R&D.

Instart Logic doubled its patent filings this 1H 2014, and also introduced more disruptive technology to the market in June with InstantLoad and SmartVision:

InstantLoad cache optimization leverages Instart Logic’s client-cloud architecture and browser caching improvements defined by HTML5 to accelerate web application performance.

SmartVision uses advanced computer vision algorithms to analyze the content of an image and determine how much of it must be streamed for a user to recognize the image on their device without perception of degraded image quality. This allows web applications to reduce time-to-interaction.

“Thanks to a talented team, forward-thinking customers and a commitment to innovation, we were able to execute on our vision to lead change in the application delivery market,” said Manav Mital, CEO, Instart Logic. “Our success in 1H 2014 represents a significant validation that our innovation and unique approach resonate deeply in an industry that is ripe for transformation.”
