Melissa will be joining Avi Smith on the topic “An Employers Integration of Telemedicine.” This session will discuss how the U.S. telehealth market is expected to grow to $1.9 billion in 2018 from $240 million today, an annual growth rate of 56 percent. Telemedicine is part of an emerging trend that bridge the gap between doctor and patient, thus employers are saving on unnecessary treatments as well as other associated costs. 28 percent of employers will offer telemedicine benefits at no cost by the end of 2014, which is 8 percent more than last year. Telemedicine has a direct impact on employee productivity, reduces time away from the work site, and also decreases stress on an employee. While health care costs have risen and it can sometimes take weeks to get a Doctor’s appointment, the integration of over-the-phone medical services and treatments is becoming increasingly popular. This is especially true for those with busy work schedules, allowing employees to reduce co pay expenses and increase accessibility.

Melissa joins over 200 industry professionals and employers that will be speak at the 2014 event on over 100 different educational sessions, workshops, forums and summits. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear her speak. Register for the conference today.
