Crescent State Bank Announces Moore County Advisory Board

Nine local citizens named to bank’s Advisory Board.

Raleigh, NC, January 20, 2006 --(PR.com)-- James F. Byrd, Senior Vice President of Crescent State Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crescent Financial Corporation, (Nasdaq National Market: CRFN), has announced that nine local residents have joined the bank’s Moore County Advisory Board. The members are James L. Boles, Jr., owner of Boles Funeral Homes; Stan Bradshaw, principle at Bradshaw Capital Management LLC; Patrick A. Corso, President of Pinehurst, Inc.; H. Wayne Haddock, President of Pinehurst Homes; Kelly R. Miller, President of Pine Needles Resort; W. Frankie Page, Jr., of W. Frankie Page, Jr., CPA, Inc; D. Wayne Peterson, Vice President of Carolina Horse Park; Frank R. Quis, Jr. Mayor of Southern Pines and President of Quis Machinery; and Kate Tuomala, clinical audiologist and founder of Audiology of the Sandhills. The Advisory Board acts as a liaison between the bank and the community and advises the organization on how to better serve the community.
