Sibyl Bogardus, Chief Compliance Officer, Hub International Insurance Services Inc. to present on the topic "Taking Leadership in Health Reform: Retaking Control of Our Future"

Washington, DC, August 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The 6th Annual National Healthcare Reform Conference is pleased to announce Sibyl Bogardus, Chief Compliance Officer, Hub International Insurance Services Inc., as a speaker at the Sept 20-24 event in D.C. this year.

The National Healthcare Reform Conference is part of the Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress, www.EmployerHealthcareCongress.com, which is made up of 6+ other conference tracks dedicated towards employers and the benefits and healthcare they offer their employees: Corporate Wellness, Self-Funding, Global Benefits, Health Insurance Exchange, Voluntary Benefits, Corporate Fitness & Nutrition and more.

Sibyl Bogardus provides compliance and consulting services regarding health plans and other employee benefits. Her areas of expertise include federal and state health care reform, ERISA, cafeteria plans, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and compliance with Internal Revenue Code requirements for favorable tax treatment of benefits. Sibyl is a frequent keynote speaker on health reform and medical plan design trends. In December 2013, the House of Representatives invited Sibyl to testify on health reform impacts to their Small Business Committee in Washington, D.C. She currently serves on an IRS Advisory Council for the Gulf Coast. She is a widely-published author on employee benefits, tax, and labor law issues. Sibyl also has given interviews for radio, magazines and newspapers on the ADA, human resources, legislative activity, and related issues.

Sibyl received her undergraduate degree in history from Duke University, ’85, cum laude (History), and her J. D. from Washington University, ‘88. She has 25 years of employee benefit law experience.

Sibyl will be presenting with James A. Klein on the topic of Taking Leadership in Health Reform: Retaking Control of Our Future. This session will cover how the health reform law is polarizing, causing the worst extremes: usually paralyzing fear or smug inaction. Upcoming provisions directly impact us all as employers, employees, citizens and leaders. If we think there is a better approach on any issue, now is our time -- a historical time -- to step up and offer changes. You will hear factual, not political information, about what the law provides, the levels of acceptable coverage, loopholes, pitfalls, and downfalls...with a focus not on what is good or bad, but how are we planning to fix this law of unintended consequence. Regardless of your political leanings, if you have a position on reform, and most of us do, you should attend this session. Hear what it is like to testify before Congress on reform, and to serve on an IRS Advisory Council, as well as chances for a "fix" on any issues. Hear how to connect with the federal agencies with feedback on regulations. Most importantly, learn how to rally support and apply influence to get your opinions across at the levels that can cause change.

Sibyl joins over 100 different educational sessions, workshops, forums and summits. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear her speak! Register for the conference today!
