FKP Architects Hires New CFO

Houston, TX, August 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- FKP Architects is pleased to announce the addition of Chief Financial Officer, Elizabeth Nilsen, CPA, CGMA. Nilsen takes the position following the retirement of Nann Pierce, who served as FKP’s CFO for 25 years. Nilsen’s experience spans over 20 years in accounting, financial management and corporate leadership roles.

Most recently, Nilsen was the Chief Financial Officer for West Yost Associates, a water, wastewater and storm water civil engineering firm in Davis, California. Since 2003, she has been responsible for all aspects of corporate financial leadership including financial strategy, executive leadership advising, design and implementation of financial and IT systems, and support management. Additionally, Nilsen’s specific experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industries includes managing talent and other resources for building projects, and working with industry ERP software tools like Deltek Vision. Prior to her CFO role, Nilsen held progressive roles from accountant to controller for private companies, CPA firms, and not-for-profit organizations since beginning her career.

Nilsen is a graduate of Texas A&M Corpus Christi, where she earned a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Management and Accounting. Having grown up in Texas, she is pleased to return to her roots. Nilsen enjoys camping and hunting with her family, participating in ranching related clubs and activities, and volunteering in musical theatre and church choirs.
