Promoting STEM in Middlesex County Schools

Woodbridge, NJ, September 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A very talented group of high school students currently volunteering at the Academy of Robotics and Engineering met to discuss the idea and implementation plan for launching a volunteer group to create awareness about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in the Woodbridge, Edison and other neighboring school districts in Middlesex County under the leadership of Shreya Sharma.

The STEM Awareness Program (SAP) is a Free program sponsored by the Academy of Robotics and Engineering and will be conducted throughout the school year. Elementary, middle and high school principals will receive invitation by mail/email to participate in this program. The program will be conducted in the participating schools on a first-come-first-served basis.

Students participating in this 1 week program will build robots using the Lego WeDo, Lego EV3 and Vex IQ robotics kits. There will be a robotics competition held at the end of the week. Every student will receive a participation certificate at the end of the program.
