Jerry’s Artarama Announces 2014 Art Scholarship

National Fine Art Supplier to Empower One Art Student Through $5000 Scholarship.

Raleigh, NC, September 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Jerry’s Artarama, a national retailer of art supplies and materials headquartered in Raleigh, announces its financial assistance of one graduate student, undergraduate student or high school senior with the 2014 Jerry’s Artarama Art Scholarship. Valued at $5,000, the student may use the scholarship towards tuition and other academic fees. The award recipient will also receive a $500 eGift card to Jerry’s Artarama’s online store, a $250 package of art supplies to donate to their school’s art department and a $250 package of art supplies for their nominating teacher.

Funded by Jerry’s Artarama and premiere brands such as Prismacolor, Winsor & Newton, Grafix, Golden, LUKAS, Ampersand, Strathmore and Jack Richeson & Co., students may personally apply for the scholarship or have their art teacher nominate them.

Scholarship applicants and nominees must be a graduate or undergraduate student of the design/visual arts disciplines, such as painting, drawing, sketching or illustration (excluding fashion design, interior design, film, music or the performing arts.) Applicants must also plan to enter a career in the creative professions. The applicant must be matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at a qualifying college, university or art institution in the United States for the fall 2014/spring 2015 academic year and intend to maintain full-time status for the entire year. Entries are limited to one per person and must be received in completion by October 31, 2014.
