Agenda Set for the Seventh Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet

The agenda has now been set for the Seventh Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet, to take place during IBC2014 on Sunday, 14 September 2014 at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. The SuperMeet agenda will feature film editors Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey as well as user driven presentations from Blackmagic Design, Adobe, iZotope, Atomos, and HP.

Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The stage show agenda has now been set for the Seventh Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet, to take place during IBC2014 on Sunday, 14 September 2014 at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam, NL. The SuperMeet agenda will feature film editors Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey as well as user driven presentations from Blackmagic Design, Adobe, iZotope, Atomos, and HP. Tickets to the the Amsterdam SuperMeet can be purchased at the SuperMeet website. Doors open at 16:30 and SuperMeet stage show begins at 19:00.

Scheduled to appear on stage will be film editors Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey. Both Ms. Brandon and Ms. Markey are best known as long time collaborators with director J. J. Abrams. The pair has co-edited all of Abrams' feature films including "Mission Impossible III," "Super 8" and 2009's "Star Trek Into Darkness." Their latest collaboration with Abrams is "Star Wars: Episode VII," currently shooting in London.

Ms. Markey and Ms. Brandon intend to show before and after scenes they edited from the movies, Star Trek Into Darkness and Super 8. Immediately following the producers of the event will turn to the audience for Q and A. This will be a rare opportunity to learn these women’s editing process. Matt Fuery of Avid will moderate.

Blackmagic Design will have award winning colorist Giles Livesy present the new editorial and grading features of DaVinci Resolve 11. Giles will be joined by filmmaker Hasraf Dulull to show off his new short film, Sync, which was shot on Blackmagic cameras and graded on DaVinci Resolve.

iZotope will present Audio editing guru Mike Thornton who will show how anyone can perform sonic miracles—transforming flawed audio and inconsistent dialogue into pristine, professional-sounding material. Mike will use a real-world TV documentary shot on location with a variety of portable audio recorders and camera microphones.

Atomos CEO Jeromy Young will present his learnings on 4K from the development of the Shogun 4K monitor-recorder & demonstrate the cost effective, post production friendly way to handle 4K.

Patrick Drake and Kylie Flavell left a successful career to follow their passions and created, produced and also host 'When Patrick Met Kylie: A Love (of Food) Story,' which now airs in 68 countries across NatGeo, Discovery, Traveller Channel and many others. They will be joined by HP’s Carlos Ruis to talk about their unconventional journey and how technology enabled their creativity.

Adobe Premiere Pro Product Manager Al Mooney will take us on a tour of the brand new features in Adobe video solutions. Al will show the new solutions from Adobe and how they can save time and deliver even more results in your projects. You’ll be the first to get up-close and personal with the top new features from Adobe Pro Video.

Doors will open at 16:30 for the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring 20 software and hardware developers including Adobe, Avid, Blackmagic Design, Atomos, HP, iZotope, Audio Network, B&H Photo, BorisFX, The Brikmill, FCPWorks, Flanders Scientific, The Future Store, GenArts, G-Tech, K-Tek, Light Iron, Lumberjack, Media Machine, Noise Industries, OWC and Red Giant. Here, attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, mingle and party with industry peers, network one on one with leading manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for post production and broadcast markets.

Rounding out the evening will be the "World Famous Raffle," where currently over 35,000 Euros worth of valuable software and hardware, including a Blackmagic Design Production 4K Camera will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.

Tickets are only 15.00 Euros each (includes 2 raffle tickets) for General Admission and 10.00 Euros for students and Teachers and are on sale online only.
