A Dreadfully Delightful Evening of Music

Soaring Sounds Vocal Ensemble presents “Music of the Macabre,” a Halloween themed concert.

Tampa, FL, September 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Tampa’s premier a cappella group is back for a night of mysterious music and chilling sounds. The concert will include modern film music including selections from Disney’s Frozen and Harry Potter, sacred polyphony from the 1500’s, and everything in between. The highlight of the evening will be the group’s demonstration of “overtone singing,” where they will sing two pitches at the same time by manipulating their sinus cavities.

Arrive early for a pre-concert discussion where audience members will learn about “overtone singing” and get to try it for themselves. The discussion will also touch on the historical context of some of the pieces from the concert. This event is an additional $3, or included in season ticket purchases, and includes a post-concert reception with the musicians.
