)-- Gary Williams, an independent financial advisor and Founder and President of Williams Asset Management in Columbia, MD, has donated an additional 200 books to HeroBox. Williams’ book, The Art of Retirement will be placed in care packages and then sent to soldiers fighting across the world. Earlier this year, Williams donated 200 books to HeroBox.
“I wanted to do this again. I just feels good to give these soldiers, who put their lives on the line and fight for our country, a book that they can enjoy and take their mind off the battles during their free time,” says Williams.
“We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Williams for his continuing donation of his book. The Art of Retirement is an investment in our Heroes’ lives, reminding them about life after deployment and easing the stress of planning for their futures. We cannot thank Mr. Williams and his team enough for their continued support of our troops,” Tiffany Dillard, Program Director of HeroBox said.
The Art of Retirement, with Foreword by former San Francisco 49er, NFL Legend and Hall of Famer, Ronnie Lott, uses the story of Michelangelo’s life and art to facilitate the creation of your masterpiece: a resilient, well-crafted portfolio along with a fulfilling life and legacy. This unique book serves as a life guide - helping you understand the art of investment management and financial planning, while also providing an insightful perspective on life and retirement.

Founded in 2008, HeroBox evolved from a family's simple effort of supporting their hero. HeroBox founder Ryan Housley learned during his brother's deployment that many service members were not receiving any support from home. He also noticed that all deployed service members have specific needs depending on their gender, location and a variety of other factors. Most care packages are generic and don't provide the items our heroes need. Ryan worked with his brother to develop a web platform that would connect the American people with their heroes instantly online, and HeroBox.org was launched.
