Ellensburg, WA, September 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- "Confessions of the Miner’s Canary" is written in accordance with the social model of disability and chronicles Mr. White’s adult life struggles to integrate into the world of work and into mainstream society, given his clinically non-specifiable learning disabilities and psychomotor deficits. In the 8th chapter, Mr. White discusses the prospects of an unconditional basic income as a critical social reform that would act as a catalyst to enable effective niche construction among adults with neurological disabilities (i.e.neurodiverse adults)

In reviewing Mr. White’s unpublished manuscript, one anonymous reader had the following to say about “Confessions of the Miner’s Canary:

“I found myself saying 'Wow!' out loud as I read through the pages. I am touched by your understanding of the complexities in which you are functioning and I think your views about how we define and structure our understandings and institutions are profoundly right on target. Your book already is a multi-level heroic endeavor and exciting accomplishment. Thank you.”

Confessions of the Miner’s Canary is Mr. White’s 1st book. He aspires to author future books that take a progressive approach in addressing social, structural, and economic, reforms that promote disability inclusion and empowerment. He is currently working on his second book project, entitled Neurodiverse Nation: why a Neurodiverse Friendly Society is a Civilized Society. This book tackles specific institutional reforms which Mr. White believes will minimize exclusion and marginalization of neurodiverse adults.
