During October, Griff and Son’s Hometown Auto Repair will offer their customers free front and rear brake pads or shoes(provided by the generous Advance Auto Parts) -- a retail value of up to $79.95 -- when brake service is performed. Customers pay for only the labor, shop supplies and other parts needed for the repair.
In return, Griff and Son’s donates 10 percent of each brake service to The
Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund. Dr. Vincent Tuohy and his team at The Cleveland Clinic have developed a preventative vaccine that has been successful in lab trials in preventing breast cancer by 100% and now needs to raise more money to move into human trials. Griff and Son’s has set a goal of raising $3,000 toward this effort.
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is also teaming up with Griff and Son’s. On October 15th from 9am-2pm they are sending the Women’s Mobile Health Screening Van to Griff and Son’s Hometown Auto to preform mammograms on sight. To sign up for an appointment, call 1-888-672-9647.
