Local Gym to Run Fitness Challenge to Raise Money for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

Wexford, PA, September 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Starting October 1st and running for the entire month of October Defined Fitness, located in Wexford, will be running a fitness program to raise money for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (N.O.C.C.). They have teamed up with MyZone to offer a unique one of a kind program that will incorporate heart rate monitors into the fitness program, getting members in shape, and raising money for a great cause.

“Each participant must make a $25 donation to participate in the program. Members who currently have a heart rate monitor will be tracking the number of MEPs (MyZone Energy Points) that they earn over the month with the goal of hitting 3,000 points and will be put into a raffle for prizes at the end of the month. Any members who do not currently have a heart rate monitor and purchase one during the challenge will also be entered into the program and Defined Fitness will donate a portion of the purchase amount as well,” said Josh Proch, who co-owns Defined Fitness along with Tammy Zubasic.

At the end of the month Defined Fitness will host a party for all participants at Mad Mex in Cranberry where they will have 50/50 raffles and silent auction items to raise additional money for N.O.C.C. At this party the raffle for participants who hit their goal of 3,000 MEPs will also be drawn. Defined Fitness has set their goal to raise $1,000 and will be posting the current amount raised daily in the club.

Anyone interested in participating can register or donate with Defined Fitness by calling 724-934-2000 or by stopping by the facility at 11885 Perry Highway, Suite B in Wexford, PA.
