Local Brewery, Hudsonville Pike 51, Taps Fans for Future Growth

Today, Hudsonville Pike 51 Brewery launches a crowdfunding campaign to support expanded production capabilities, equipment for specialty brews and even local distribution.

Hudsonville, MI, September 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Today, Hudsonville Pike 51 Brewery launches a crowdfunding campaign to support expanded production capabilities, equipment for specialty brews and even local distribution.

Since opening their doors to the growing craft beer audience in 2012, Hudsonville’s Pike 51 Brewery has garnered national attention with their award-winning recipes, while cultivating a devoted local fan base. Looking to capitalize on their success with a larger selection of beers and wider distribution, owners Steve Guikema and Ron Snider are counting on the support of the very people who have been enjoying their beers such as Kush IPA and Sabotage.

As with most rewards based crowdfunding campaigns, donors will receive exclusive rewards such as bottles of one-of-a-kind beers and events using the brewery to host private parties. There are several different donation levels to choose from, with rewards ranging from a private Super Bowl party for 50 people to lifetime Mug Club membership to individual bottles of beer that will only be available to supporters of the campaign. The funds raised will be used to purchase a new fermenter, bourbon barrels, special brewing ingredients, and much more.

“We’ve been so encouraged by the public’s response to our recipes and our location that we wanted to make our fans an integral part of our growth strategy,” said Snider. “Pike 51 is truly a brewery by the people and for the people, and we’ve put together rewards that we know they will get excited about.”

While there are no minimum investments, $50 will earn supporters a bottle of a private bourbon barrel brew, which will not be made available to the public. The campaign will end in mid-December 2014, and will be supported by Grand Rapids-based PayItSqaure.com (https://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/47978) by OST as the fundraising platform.

Snider continued, “We met with Brian Anderson, Director of Custom Application Development at OST. He showed us the PayItSquare.com platform and we were hooked! We’d much rather work with a local company, and utilize their platform developed here in Beer City USA.”

Brian Anderson responded, “We’re excited that Pike 51 chose to use PayItSquare.com. Our platform continues to grow in capabilities, and this a great example of how we can help entrepreneurs unlock the power of crowd funding.”
