Improved Senior Housing

Keaau senior housing facility upgrades bedrooms to accommodate couples wishing to stay in the same room.

Keaau, HI, October 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Hale Pu'uhonua, a senior assisted living facility in Keaau, recently completed renovations to expand some bedrooms to accommodate couples. Robert Olin, the owner of Hale Pu'uhonua, stated, "We have received many, many calls from families seeking accommodations for both parents. Until now, we could only accommodate them if they were placed in separate bedrooms. With our new expansion, we can accommodate couples who wish to stay in the same room. Additionally, we now offer more suites with attached private bathrooms since the market strongly favors each senior having their own private bathroom."

Lack of privacy is a frequent complaint from seniors who have stayed at larger facilities. Offering private suites provides a high degree of privacy that improves quality of life for their residents.

Hale Pu'uhonua is an Expanded Adult Residential Care Home specializing in the care of seniors with dementia. Our small "boutique" facility with its commensurate small staff allows each resident to receive highly personalized care. Those with dementia may become agitated if they have to interact with many strange faces every day. With our small staff size, even though our residents may not necessarily know our names, they recognize us because they see us just about every day. This reduces the anxiety and agitation that frequently afflicts those with dementia.
