)-- Manifestationz Art Gallery is enjoying this fall season with artist Dan Campbell at the gallery. Campbell is a North Carolina based artist who thrives on creating contemporary abstract paintings. He uses vibrant colors and bold sweeping brush strokes to create conversation pieces that appeal to a diverse set of art collectors.
As part of the Cary Art Loop’s Final Friday Art Walk, Campbell kicked off his feature month with an evening at the gallery on September 26th. Area art lovers were invited to come and meet the artist as they took a look at some of his most popular pieces. “I am somewhat influenced by abstract expressionist painters like Kandinsky, Pollack, Delaunay, and De Kooning—movers and shakers of the action painting movement, a more freewheeling style of painting,” says Campbell of his work. Many of his pieces begin with sweeping brushstrokes which are met with palette knife strokes. He has also created a lot of music inspired pieces which reflect his love for different genres of music.
Many of Campbell’s most coveted pieces have a textured look to them. It allows for variety within his portfolio, and makes each piece more authentic. As a self-taught artist, Campbell was influenced very early on by the artwork found in comic books. He has now perfected his craft and has professed that he has an “addiction” to art.
Don’t miss the chance to view this vibrant display this month at Manifestationz.
