New Author, Allan White has written and self published a memoir, entitled "Confessions of the Miner's Canary." Written in accordance with the social model of disability, this book chronicles the author's adult life struggles, integrating into society, given his learning disability and psycho-motor impairments. Using a combination of memoir and reflective scholarship, Mr. White highlights multiple barriers he encountered, with the aim of promoting discussion on relevant social reforms.
